Darius Morgan is the entrepreneur behind the hydrofoils on Lake Titicaca and the founder of the leading Bolivian Travel Company.
Short Bio
Mr. Darius Morgan Martin, born in Rumania, grew up in France and arrived at Bolivia in the 50’s working for the Swedish company Ericcson. That was his first visit to Bolivia where he had the chance to discover its beauty and natural richness, from the Bolivian Amazon region to Lake Titicaca in the Andes. In 1958 he decided to show this beautiful destination to the world, by opening his DMC, Crillon Tours, being the first DMC and Operator in the country.
Despite his efforts to show Bolivia to foreign visitors, he needed first to teach about the destination to the world, and that’s how he starts with his South American Mini University presentations that through many of his friends, reached 4 continents and gave over 200 presentations, that not only showed Bolivia as a country but South America as a continent as the most appealing destination for travelers.
Over 60 years later, he not only made this continent popular to the rest of the world, but he has also expanded his company in Bolivia now in charge of his children and grandson, with two hotels and 7 Hydrofoils on Lake Titicaca and 3 Airstream Campers on the Uyuni Salt Flats.
He has published 6 books and countless articles for renown newspapers and magazines, always focusing on the ever-expanding Tourism Trade.

“My last book is my autobiography, and I wrote it for the new generation and what I think that they should look for into their future. If my large experience can help anybody, I will try to do it and reach perhaps one of the most important gools of my eccentric life. I am ready to reply and discuss any of my experiences and to learn from you how we can do the best in any circumstances.”

“Mi último libro es mi autobiografía, y lo escribí para la nueva generación y lo que creo que deberían buscar en su futuro. Si mi dilatada experiencia puede ayudar a alguien, intentaré hacerlo y llegar a quizás uno de los goles más importantes de mi tan excéntrica vida. Estoy listo para responder y discutir cualquiera de mis experiencias y también aprender de usted cómo podemos sacar la mejor parte de cualquier circunstancia.”
